Inspiring Webinar on Digitalization, Tolerance, and Cultural Differences
On December 28, 2024, an inspiring online webinar brought together young participants from Poland and North Macedonia as part of the “Building Community Links” project. The activity was organized in cooperation with FERI Fundacja Edukacji, Rozwoju i Innowacji, NGO Pozitivo Skopje, and Leaders without Borders.
The webinar created a dynamic space for intercultural dialogue, exchange of views, and shared learning among young people from different backgrounds. The session focused on several highly relevant topics for today’s digital and interconnected world.
Main topics discussed
During the webinar, participants explored:
- Digitalization and gaming – including both their positive and negative aspects
- Tolerance in online communication – and how to build international relationships in digital spaces
- Cultural differences – how to understand them, respect them, and overcome misunderstandings through dialogue
The discussion encouraged participants to reflect on how digital tools influence social interaction and how young people can contribute to more respectful and inclusive online communities.
Active participation and interactive learning
An important element of the webinar was the use of the Mentimeter interactive application, which allowed participants to actively engage by answering questions, sharing their opinions, and contributing their own perspectives in real time.
The webinar was facilitated by Matea, and English served as the common language, enabling smooth interaction and mutual understanding among all participants.
A meeting full of ideas and new perspectives
The event resulted in a meaningful exchange of ideas and experiences, offering participants an opportunity to broaden their perspectives and strengthen their intercultural awareness. It also demonstrated the value of international youth cooperation in addressing topics that are increasingly important in everyday life.
This webinar once again confirmed that open dialogue, active participation, and intercultural exchange can help young people better understand one another and build stronger social connections across borders.
